I went off the grid for a few days

With no electronic updates

 

The world

My world

Happened on its own – without wired or wireless device

 

The hands-on contact

And psychic sonar

Made vibrant sensations return – vibrations of light, sound, body and spirit

 

When I came back on-line

Everything had changed

 

The view of network ego seemed colorless and dull

While light through my window beckoned

 

Ego to the left of us

Ego to the right of us

Ego in the middle mid-field

 

Network here, nature there

Nature here, network there

Twixt and between the mean

 

Chemical reactions percolate in my brain -

Making analogue vibrations on a curve

Bringing spiritual connections with no limits of time or space

 

Angular electronic impulses pervade the network

With the digital on and off – the finite yes and no

Feeding the emerging global mind with consensus to define and redefine

 

I see us on a long and jagged ridge between two worlds

Worlds not wrong or right but worlds apart

As we are presented with Jungian dilemmas of

Communication, choice, and cooperation

 

Angles or curves? Here or there? Now or then?

Philosophical questions and lessons in perspective  

On-line, off-line and in-between

When we look at nature, I mean really look at nature -

without judgment, but with acceptance and appreciation -

it puts on a show for us.

Nature is always ready

to share its most profound beauty and mystery.

All we have to do is look.

Of course it is a challenge

to look at anything without judgment.

Our minds tend to be muddled

with fear, anxiety, and need for confirmation.

Wind

the spirit is on the wind
on your hill or porch or beach
turn your face to the breeze
and let it bathe your skin

and when the strong wind blows
lean in to the force
and find your balance
that gives you strength

it comes from the sea
lifts high above the mountains
and winds through the valleys
to race across the plains

in the city the wind is wild
and turns with every corner
seeking the end of the alley
until it slams against the wall

nowhere to turn
at the end of its journey
a time of reckoning
and a blow to be considered

the hurricane comes quickly
and destroys loose fittings
making a time to build and grow
another chance to get it right

the gentle breeze caresses the soul
thoughtful guidance to a subtle journey
places never dreamed of
and dreams that take you home

may you face the wind and dance
may you touch the wind and know
for the spirit is on the wind
and for you the wind will blow
